We had a wonderful stay with Kim over Labor Day weekend. This listing absolutely excels in details- unlike many places where we show up only to find the salt ran out. Expect to find a FULLY stocked kitchen, kayaks, life vests in multiple sizes, full s’more kits, the list goes on. Kim was very responsive with local recommendations and while we had zero issues, I’m sure she’d be very attentive.

The property itself is right on the lake as pictured. The lake was very peaceful – a couple jet skis throughout the day and light boat traffic. You will have a neighbor on one side who seems to be a full time resident and very quiet and respectful. There were no loud parties on the entire lake during a holiday weekend. There is a quaint, small town of Hastings nearby. Several restaurants and plenty of grocery options.

We were so fortunate to discover this wonderful gem of a rental for our family vacation in August. We knew Kim was amazing when she sent us an email in advance of our trip to ensure every one of our family members had something to look forward to.

The house is beautifully decorated and inviting. From the coffee bar (what a treat!) to the game closet, to a fully stocked kitchen, this rental has everything you need. And her personal touches made you feel so special. The lake was quiet and peaceful, wonderful for swimming and even great fishing right off the dock. Downtown Hastings is delightful and the trip to Grand Rapids is within easy driving distance.

I almost don’t want everyone to know how great this place is! 🙂

The whole experience was amazing from the great location, beautiful house, and the special touches Kim added for us and our children. We utilized all the amenities from the swim dock, kayaks, volleyball, swing, and hammock to the fire pit for s’mores and nightly bonfires. Also, the game room with air hockey and so many fun things for the kids to do.

We cannot wait to come back next year!

Our family had a wonderful time here. The house is beautiful, and Kim goes the extra mile to make sure everything you could possibly need is taken care of. Air conditioning is a rare find in lake cottages, though we didn’t need it as much since we had perfect weather at the end of June.

Everything was perfect and so thoughtful – the space was so beautiful and welcoming. Each detail and necessity were considered and provided – from USB outlets to bathrobes to S’mores kit! We stayed in a lot of places and this one had our every needed predicted and covered.

The rec room was awesome for the teenagers. Bikes and kayaks are even ready to go! I loved the full set up in the kitchen and the coffee bar – where you could Keurig, auto-drip, or French press your coffee!

We loved it so much; we made another booking for Fall!

This wasn’t just another lake house getaway, this was a complete experience. The property pictures tell the story, anything and everything you’d want to do with your friends and/or family is available for you. The house is immaculate, and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none.

It was a wonderful, memorable experience that we’ll never forget, and one which we’d love to experience again!
